Grasso reciprocating compressor range includes 48 Grasso models subdivided into 6 series: Grasso 12E, Grasso 12, Grasso 10, Grasso 6 and Grasso 5HP as open type compressors and the Grasso 7S and Grasso 8S as semi-hermetic ammonia compressors.
Fully welded compressors (Grasso 12E, Grasso 12, Grasso 10): Grasso's famous fully welded compressors concept, dating from the nineteen fifties, is highly appreciated by the customer especially today. The modular set up of the crank case components allow us to generate a wide range of single- and especially two-stage machines with different volume ratios between the low and the high stage. This allows the customer to select the optimum compressor with the highest possible efficiency. Another advantage is the absence of water cooling on the compressor resulting in lower investment and operation costs. The externally positioned air cooled cylinders make use of natural dissipation by means of convection and radiation. Only in a few cases air cooled oil coolers are recommended (please consult us).
Cast iron compressors: they are specially designed for single stage operation with smaller swept volumes (Grasso 6, Grasso 7S/8S and Grasso 5HP).
